Meet the Doctors

Jaime Knopman, M.D. is a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist with over a decade of experience helping individuals and couples create families. She is Director of Fertility Preservation for CCRM New York. Jaime graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania and received her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine where she was elected to the AOA honor society. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as her specialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from New York University, where she received numerous awards including the Robert F. Porges Award for the Graduating Honor Resident. She was designated a 2019 New York Super Doctor and is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). She has published several papers on the topic of fertility preservation, specifically egg freezing for cancer patients and serves as medicine director of The Chick Mission, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting female cancer patients with a focus on fertility challenges as a result of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, or drug treatment.

In addition to her love of medicine, Jaime has a true passion for empowering and educating women on all topics related to reproductive health. She and Sheeva have been friends for over 20 years and in 2016 developed the Women’s Health blog Truly, MD, which evolved over time to become East Meets West Fertility. Jaime was Born and raised on Long Island, New York and now lives on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with her two daughters Charley (10) and Blake (7). When not at work or spending time with her girls she can be found in Central Park running!

Sheeva Talebian, M.D., a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist, serves as the Third Party Reproduction Director at CCRM New York. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University and went on to obtain her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She continued her medical training at New York University were she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Dr. Talebian is a member of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). She is the recipient of several surgical and teaching awards, was named to2018 Castle Connolly Top Doctors in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and was named a 2019 New York Super Doctor.  She serves as the fertility specialist for Women’s Health Magazine and is a frequent contributor to other media platforms.  Her practice is located in midtown Manhattan where she provides comprehensive fertility services to all individuals and couples. She is known for her caring and compassionate care of all her patients.  She is an avid runner and enjoys time with her friends and family in NYC.

Dr. Talebian and Dr. Knopman are co-founders of Truly MD (truly-md.com), a content based media site dedicated to women’s reproductive health. Passionate about health, wellness, and fertility, the two combine their medical degrees with their life experience to deliver honest real advice and empower women.

Mary Sabo, L.Ac DACM is a board-certified Acupuncturist and herbalist and has been specializing in Reproductive health since 2007. She has a Bachelor’s in Biology from The College of Wooster and a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science. She grew up in the Midwest and has worked in several medical schools nationwide as a Research Assistant in pathology labs.

Mary is founder of Lily + Horn Acupuncture clinic in NYC, where she sees patients alongside her team of fertility acupuncturists. She also performs acupuncture onsite at CCRM NY supporting embryo transfers. She has been featured on the Dr. Oz show and is a frequent contributor to national blogs FertilityIQ, Robyn, Mother.ly and MindBodyGreen. She grew up dancing ballet and has always had an interest in holistic health and wellness. She now enjoys dancing on a spin bike, running and cooking with her husband Myles in their West Village apartment, where they live with their Rhodesian Ridgeback, Wilson. Mary has always envisioned her career collaborating with Western medical doctors to bring patients the most complete, supportive, and effective care, while helping them become healthier and more empowered in the process.
